Who we are

This policy covers sixeightlabs.com and the services of Six Eight Labs (“6/8 Labs”, “we”, “us”), based in San Francisco, California. To reach us about anything in it, email dhindsamax@gmail.com.

Information we collect

What you send us

The data check saves your answers to our private storage, hosted by Vercel. If that fails, or if you use the contact form, your own email app opens with your answers filled in. We receive only what you choose to send: typically your name, work email, role, phone number if you add it, your company’s name, website, size, country and the tools it uses. If you refer a company through our referral portal, we store your name, email and phone, the company’s name and website, how you know them, and any contact details you add for the person we should speak to. The estimate and contact forms save what you enter (your name, email, company, phone number if you add it, your answers and the range we showed you) to the same private storage. We also keep what you tell us by email, phone, text message or messaging app. If you book a call, Calendly collects the details you enter there under its own policy.

What is collected automatically

This site sets no tracking cookies and runs no analytics, advertising or tracking scripts. If you choose to measure your company’s data, a security cookie lasting ten minutes protects that sign-in step and is then cleared. Like any website, our hosting provider (Vercel) processes technical request data such as your IP address, browser type and the page requested, in order to deliver the site and keep it secure. Fonts load from Google Fonts, which receives your IP address when your browser requests them.

Read-only measurement

If a Google Workspace or Microsoft 365 administrator chooses to measure their company’s data, we receive aggregate figures from the admin usage reports: numbers of accounts and mailboxes, message and item counts, and storage totals. We never read email, files or other content, we keep no per-person rows, and we do not store access tokens. Google access is revoked as soon as the figures are read.

How we use it

  • To reply to you, send the estimate you asked for and assess whether your company’s data is a fit.
  • To package data you choose to license, arrange calls, and send agreements and payments.
  • To route you to the right program, including our partner program for companies with 20 to 50 employees.
  • To manage referrals, including checking for conflicts so attribution goes to the right broker.
  • To prepare and perform agreements you choose to enter with us.
  • To keep the site secure and comply with legal obligations.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for advertising.

Legal bases

Where data protection law requires a legal basis, we rely on taking steps at your request before entering a contract, our legitimate interest in responding to business enquiries and running our business, and compliance with legal obligations.

Text messages and calls

We only call or text people who have contacted us first and given us their phone number. Messages are about your enquiry, referral or deal: answers to your questions, links to our forms and portal, and scheduling. Message frequency varies, and message and data rates may apply.

Reply STOP to any text to stop receiving them, or HELP for help. You can also email dhindsamax@gmail.com. Mobile numbers and texting consent are never shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. We share phone numbers only with the service providers that deliver our messages and calls.

Who we share it with

  • Service providers that host our website and store data-check answers (Vercel) and run our email, acting on our instructions.
  • Partners you ask us to introduce you to. If you follow a link to a partner’s sign-up page, you deal with that partner directly under its terms and privacy policy.
  • AI labs only in the course of a deal you have agreed to, and only as set out in that agreement.
  • Advisers and authorities where the law requires it, or to protect our rights.

If 6/8 Labs is involved in a merger or sale, your information may transfer to the new owner under this policy.

How long we keep it

We keep enquiry emails for as long as needed to respond and to keep reasonable business records, then delete them. Information that forms part of a signed agreement is kept for the life of that agreement and any period the law requires afterwards.

Your rights and choices

You can ask us to access, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you, or to stop using it for a particular purpose. Depending on where you live (for example California, the UK or the EU), you may also have the right to data portability and to complain to your local data protection authority. To make a request, email dhindsamax@gmail.com or use the contact form. We will not treat you differently for exercising these rights.

California residents

We collect the categories of personal information described above (identifiers, professional information and internet activity from server logs) for the business purposes described above. We do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.

International transfers

Our providers may process information in the United States and other countries. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards for these transfers.

Security

The site is served over HTTPS with strict security headers and loads code only from our own domain. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so please do not send raw company records, passwords or financial details through email or the site.

Children

This site is for businesses and is not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect their information.

Third-party links

We link to other sites, including partner sign-up pages, Calendly and other 6/8 companies. Their own privacy policies apply when you use them.

Changes to this policy

We will post any changes here and update the date at the top. If a change materially affects how we use information you have already given us, we will tell you before it applies.

Contact

For any privacy question or request, email dhindsamax@gmail.com or use the contact form.
