What makes a strong referral.
Labs pay for depth and continuity. Check these before you introduce a company, and see the guide for companies to share with owners.
A data inventory
Software, years available and quantity, ready before the first call.
Continuous history
One internal messaging tool over the years earns more full-context credit than several.
Documented work
Processes and workflows people repeat, recorded in modern software.
Clear rights
The owner can license each system. Client work at agencies usually belongs to the client.
What strong referrals look like.
Illustrative profiles of the companies labs ask for, not past deals. Labs want real company archives with years of history.
Software company, 200+ staff
Several years of email, Drive and Slack, dozens of private repositories, thousands of support tickets and product records.
Code, messages, tasksLaw firm or legal team
Contracts, disputes, M&A and governance work, with several lawyers collaborating on each matter over many years.
Documents, email, mattersMarketplace, 50+ staff
Five or more years of CRM contacts, recorded sales calls, support tickets, shared files and team chat.
CRM, calls, ticketsManufacturer, 20+ years
A decade of CRM, accounting, inventory and orders, with CAD drawings for client orders and contract email.
Records, drawings, emailConstruction or field services
Quotes, work orders, project files, drawings and site records across hundreds of jobs.
Projects, drawings, recordsLarge enterprise, 500 to 1,000+ staff
Big, old archives across many teams. The bigger and older, the more labs want it.

AI labs have already trained on the public internet, so they now pay for records that only exist inside real businesses: email, documents, tickets, CRM, code, drawings and project files. You find companies sitting on that data and send them your tracked link from the referral portal. We handle everything after that: we review what they have, nothing is signed until a buyer wants it, the data is de-identified before any lab uses it, and the lab pays.
6% to 10% of the deal value, up to $100K per company, for companies with 50 to 100+ employees. It is paid on top of what the company receives, so it never comes out of their price. The rate depends on lead quality, such as how warm the introduction is and how complete the company’s records are. A $300K deal pays you $18K to $30K. For companies with 20 to 50 employees, our partner program pays up to $50k: get the link from the Partner tab.
Within 30 days of us getting paid for the deal. Your referral is protected for 90 days from the day you register it, and for the life of the deal once the company starts the data check. If they don’t sell, there’s no fee.
We can only value a company once we know what data it has, so a name on its own isn’t a referral yet. Your referral is complete when the company finishes the data check through your link.
Legal, finance and financial services, software and SaaS, e-commerce, manufacturing, construction, logistics, professional services, healthcare and engineering-heavy fields. Companies with 50+ staff are the sweet spot, and the more years of digital records, the better.
Yes, both are priorities. We especially want companies with substantial legal workflows, run in-house or for clients: contracts, corporate governance, disputes and litigation, intellectual property, mergers and acquisitions, employment, financing, and product and marketing review, with several internal or external lawyers working on them together. Companies with 500 or 1,000+ staff are among the most wanted.
We reply within a few working days of the data check. Once a buyer licenses the data, the company is paid in as little as 7 days and within 60 at most. Every deal is different, so never promise a company a timeline; point them to these as typical.
Lead with how little they risk. Completing the data check commits them to nothing. No data moves and nothing is signed until a buyer wants it. They keep ownership, approve every deal in writing, and can leave out any system, folder or record type. Identifying details such as names, emails, phone numbers and customer details are removed before any lab uses the data, raw files are deleted once processing is done, and nothing is ever published. Send them to our security and data handling page. Never tell anyone their data is “definitely legal to sell” or “100% anonymous”; explain the process instead.
We also match referrals by the company’s website, so if you registered it first in the portal, it is still credited to you. If anything looks wrong, email us at dhindsamax@gmail.com straight away with your referral code.
No. Each referral gets a code. Keep it, and check the status any time under My referrals in the referral portal.
Your link is sixeightlabs.com/?ref= followed by your 12-character code. If you’ve lost the code, email us at dhindsamax@gmail.com from the address you referred with.
No. A friend, a client, a supplier or a former employer all count, as long as you have permission to make the introduction.
Established businesses, ideally 30+ employees, with years of records: quotes, invoices, work orders, contracts, project files, drawings and email. Continuous history on the same tools is worth more than a large but patchy archive.
No. English-speaking companies in the US, UK, Canada and Australia are the most valuable right now because most labs train mainly in English, but we consider companies anywhere.
Tell us about it through the contact form: what form it takes (site or head-mounted video, sensor or equipment data, drawings and BIM, teleoperation or motion capture), roughly how many hours or projects, and confirmation that the people captured consented. We’ll check it against what buyers are asking for.
